Kenya International Procurement Development Agency is proud of its long association and partnerships with manufacturing and product supply companies from all over the world.

Kenya International Procurement Development Agency (KIPDA) Established in 1988, Its mission is to promote economic integration in "all fields of economic activity, particularly Industry, Energy, Agriculture, Natural Resources, Transport, Telecommunications, Commerce, Monetary And Financial Questions, Social and Cultural Matters; Promoting Africa’s growth and economic development by championing citizen inclusion and increased cooperation and integration of our Citizens, Kenya International Procurement Development Agency (KIPDA) Research Consortium is a capacity building institution to inform economic policies in the Sub-Saharan Africa Region. The launch of KIPDA goes back to the late 1980s, when a small group of Africanists and African scholars began to recognize the disconnection between economic policy making and economic research in Sub-Saharan Africa. Available research results, applied to other economies, did not always seem appropriate to the African context. And where such results were available, they were too often not put to use.

Our purpose is to give hope back to Contract Proceedure, growth and good life in Sub-Saharan Africa, Our vision is to empower those who are least served by the existing markets or assistance programs to become a part of African growth story. To support the growth and development of African communities and enterprises by providing those seed Capital/fund through our international sponsors and technical support is our mission in Sub-Saharan Africa Region.

Their concern swelled into a full-fledged idea; they had a discussion about a vehicle for pooling their expertise and applying it to the development of economic policy capacity in Sub-Saharan Africa. And instead of sitting around mumbling about the problem, they decided to act. Thus, the KIPDA was born. The idea was fairly simple– to set up a framework for supporting sound economic research on themes of importance to the management of economies in Africa and make existing expertise available through experienced economists who could serve as resource persons to the researchers supported under the framework. First, they were able to convince one donor to support the idea, then a small group of donors and now International sponsors.

That group of donor agencies grew into the actual Consortium itself. Based in UAE-Dubai, Turkey and Nairobi, KIPDA was formally established in 1988. to promote economic integration in "all fields of economic activity, particularly industry, energy, agriculture, natural resources, transport, telecommunications, commerce, monetary and financial questions, social and cultural matters. Today we have reaches across sub-Saharan Africa, with research and training alumni serving in central banks, ministries of finance, economic departments of universities and policy research institutes.

KIPDA has three primary components: promote economic integration in "all fields of economic activity, particularly industry, energy, agriculture, natural resources, transport, telecommunications, commerce, monetary and financial questions, social and cultural matters. The organization integrates economic policy research, postgraduate training and policy outreach within a network of researchers, universities and policy makers in Africa and worldwide.

The Master Plan is basically conceived as a tool that the millions of Contract Proceedure can use to actualize their common vision and build their future to the standard they desire. The Master Plan is designed to offer stakeholders at all levels (individual, group and community) the opportunity to participate fully in the planning and decision making process . Specifically, the coordinating consultants require the ideas and opinions of stakeholders as basis for defining focus areas for development and for producing a vivid picture of what the people want in the Urban and Rural regions to look like within 15 years of the master plan implementation. This implies that the input of stakeholders today is what will determine the state of affairs (both for individuals and communities) in the region tomorrow. The Master Plan, for which satellite mapping had been completed and the resource consultants appointed, is expected to cover the following areas:

  • Demography
  • Environment and hydrology
